Tacky Glue

My wife uses this stuff (bought at Hobby Lobby) for craft stuff. It looks like Elmers but is is far more tacky. It seems to dry clear. I was wondering if anyone has tried this stuff on clear parts or photo etch stuff? Also, it seems like it might be good for paper models.

Tacky glue is heavily preferred by many paper modelers. White glue, unless diluted and applied sparingly with a brush, can be too wet and deform parts. Sometimes you want to deform parts (i.e. propeller blades, bomb noses) and the white glue is beneficial. Tacky glue can also be easier when fixing glue smears by twirling off the partially dried glue with a slightly damp cotton swab.

One of the best favors you can do for yourself if you build paper models is to try tacky glues. I picked up a bottle of Aileen's long ago, and have used it ever since.

It's the same stuff as Elmers, just not as watered down. Which is a plus as well, since it leads to less color bleeding, spotting, etc on printed paper.

Since I only model in paper, I rarely need to glue metal or plastic, and usually I just use super glue (in a brush on gel) if I need it.

I used it on a P-51 canopy. Works great. Apply with the tip of a toothpick.
