What Inspire you?

What gives you the inspiration to build certain models? Currently I'm reading 'Not a good day to Die' by Sean Naylor and I REALLY fancy building a chinook (Razor01 from Takur gah) ala 'Operation Anaconda'

The best inspiration, for me...is seeing a spectacular painting. If I see that an artist can capture an interesting subject in "2-D", that gives me the desire to do the same thing in "3-D". And the better quality pieces of artwork, are usually *better* references than photographs. Learn how the artist did it in "2-D", and use those techniques to do your piece in "3-D".

Combat Mission game. After a scenario in which an ISU-152 saved the say I built ISU-152. In another I had a 2 hummels that were able to rout an entire russian company - so I built a hummel.
