Sure they will. It'll be a sad case because they can no longer get one. Shucks! I think I sold all of mine already. I could have put them on E-bay as RARE! OOP! and gotten more. ;)

Why not? There are plenty of them around and they will still be darn near unbuildable regardless of whether WB is in business or not :)

So how long until Williams Bros kits are $50 bucks on ebay?

Sorry to se them close, I have built some of their 1:32 scale kits and enjoyed them, they may not be on par with major companies newer products, but they are far better than most VAC I've seen in 1:32.

Anyone built the WB 1/72 C-46 Commando kit, and if so how much will it erode my sanity? Been toying with the idea of picking one up for a while now....

Someone will buy the molds and reissue them. Hopefully with better instructions. Love the kits though. Have six.

I bought the Wedell-Williams Racer for my father in the early 80's; he was all into balsa free-flight and rarely built plastic but said he wanted to have a few golden age type models to set on top of the TV. After he finished it he told me that he had built SOLID wood kits in the 40's that were easier to deal with. An exageration, I'm sure, but I always felt that the WB kits were scratch-building with all the REALLY hard work done for you already, but I've seen a few nice examples, like the 1/32 GB. Not easy to do.

This evokes an interesting question; how many started but unfinished models do you have sitting around the cellar?? I made a count of mine last year and the result was a new year's resolution not to open a box until I finished all those half built models. So far I am sticking to it.

It's been an awfully long time now and like a lot of others here it isn't finished but it was not at all bad. I came close to getting it done and can't remember why it never got the rest of the way.

Now, granted, my reigning bench queen (a High Planes Mustang X) has gone about eighteen months w/o any meaningful work being out into it, but it sits right there on the bench and stares at me, and will continue to do so until I either finish it or smash it to smithereens (and the jury is still out on which.) I have about four models with minimal work done on them that have been put away, but anything that is even a quarter of the way along stays out. That amounts to six models: Aoshima Ta 152H, Dragon Ta 152C, Esoteric/Italeri Fw 190C conversion, the Mustang X, Ventura/Heller Tempest I conversion, and R-G BV 222 (just the tailplane right now).

As far as Williams Bros. is concerned, I had the B-10, but I didn't care enough about the subject to go to the trouble of building it. However, I thought it decent enough as an example of a fairly early limited-run injection kit. It would have gone together a lot better than that stinker of a Do 26 that Mach 2 put out, and I managed to build that. The difference, of course, is that I really wanted to build a Do 26...

Not counting the current project.....4, I pitched most of them as they were too far along to sell even as "started" and a few were just too old to bother with.

If I get downstairs to the other computer sometime the inventory program will tell me. There are two 4-shelf shelving units full with a 3' x 6' table covered also if that helps you visualise the mess. I wish I had your discipline.

I can agree to the kits not being the easiest ones to build, but the come out pretty good, and WB says "For experienced Modellers". I built their Sparrowhawk and I'm pretty satisfied with the result, I just lack the antenna wires on a couple of their P-35's (One converted to an P-35A) I just hate doing antennas but I can't blame that on WB. ;^)
