Acad truetype fonts into SoidWorks

Have a customer supplied .DWG file with some text on the actual part. I would normally just try to recreate the text in SolidWorks but it consists of 7 mtexts rotated at various angles about a center point. When I try to create a new SW part from the DWG file the text shows in the preview but then disapears from the sketch in SW. You can't explode the text in Acad. We will be laser etching the text...any thoughts other than recreation?

Thanks, Jeff

did you use express>text>explode text or just vanilla explode? at the command line try txtexp.

After I posted I remembered the express tools but there was something wrong with the insall of them as none of the commands could be found. After fixing that issue I did try the express tool text explode and it worked but the position and and angle of the 'mtexts' changed. I gave up and just recreated it in solidworks.
