Add-in activation

Oct 07, 2009 5 Replies

We have here SW Office Premium 2007 (that's what it calls itself). When i try to activate any of the premium add-ins SW says 'No license exists for . Would you like to run the activation wizzard?" When I click Yes and complete the activation it tells me that the activation succeeded.

Under Currently activated products it only lists SolidWorks which never expires. Should it list Office Premium there if we really have that? However, after clicking Finish SW tells me "Unable to initialize Add-In component."

What is the next thing I can try to get those Add-Ins activated besides buying a new SW license?

Sounds like an installation problem. Did you do a repair in Programs Add/Remove.

Your VAR might also be of some help even though you are off subscription because this is a registration matter.

What does it say on your purchase agreement with your VAR? Did you install Premium but only purchase standard?

Have you tried just running the add ins?

Well, I havn't been able to find that, yet.

If this is possible than this is likely the case :-(

Once again, if the problem stems from installation a repair might fix it. Have you tried that?

If a repair doesn't work then a clean install is the next step. Did you install it or did your IT department?
