Breaking in to a CAD job

I have been playing around with Auto Cad staring with version 9 and have done some contraction work using version 2000 and 2002. I am seeking advice as to how to, or what I should do, or need to doing to get a job in this line of work. I find it very enjoyable and fulfilling, working with others and bring conception to reality. Any Suggestions will be parachuted.

Thank you

CAD is the easy part. You need to know about design to be useful.
