I have a 1st generation solidworks Charnley implant. Does anyone out there have any experience with doing FEA on this implant? I need to validate my FEA. What I need is the Boundary Conditions that you used when you did the FEA and your results. It would be best if you had done it in Cosmos. a charnley implant is named after one of the pioneers of orthopaedic implant surgery he also designed some of the firstlaminar downflow canopys to provide a semi sterile environment for implant and related surgery made by howarth airtech in the uk(one of my former employers)
now i think hes an honourary member of sheffield university or something like that
