Detail View doesn't work SW2005

It turned out it had something to do with refusing to place the detail circle on the view I had active. I could even Lock View to that view and it still would end up as part of a different (projected) view. After deleting the projected view in question I could get it to work right.

Bottom line -- I do think it's a bug, but not the bug I originally thought it was. The workaround is to find out where the detail circle is getting placed (which view).

i didn't activate (double-click) my view. i just rolled over the view with mouse, drew a circle and bam, instant detail view. :)

Apparently another way to avoid the problem (workaround). I chose the detail view icon first. Shouldn't matter, but maybe it does.

Hmmm . . . That projected view that caused the problem was like an isometric that was plopped down automatically after I plopped down the main view (as a Named View). In SW2005 if you don't hit an ESCape key you seem to continually are able to plop down additional projected views of the first view you create. An isometric doesn't seem like it would follow automatically as a projected view, but it does seem to give you an ISO view under some conditions. I haven't quite figured out those conditions yet. It's a little squirrelly, but nice.
