Fillet bug in sw2004sp1

I have a fairly simple sw2004 part that I'm having trouble with filleting.

There are fillets (in pink) that I tried to repeat on the opposite side, but I get a geometry error message. I've made the same part in sw2003sp4 and I can select all four intersections and make this fillet, no problem.

Can anyone else repeat this?

I've had quite a number of fairly simple lofts and fillets that wouldn't work in sw2004 but were no problem for sw2003. So far doing some isolated small projects in sw2004, but it seems to be in very rough shape.

Thanks Bill

Your "bug" is a multibody part. If you merge the two bodies, the fillet works as you would expect.

The "merge" switch was on for the last extrude, but there is only one body in the feature scope. You probably should have modeled half of the part and mirrored it rather than doubling the work by using multibodies.

That method worked. I normally do machinery and fixturing, so I don't get into these features much. I guess I'm confused about the merge option on various features and when/why its usage is indicated (or not). There is no mention of "merge" in the help index and glossary. In searching the help file, many articles contain it, but the mentions of it are rather criptic.

Anyway, got the part made, and thanks. Bill
