I've been attempting some small projects in sw2004 to see if it is usable yet. sw2004sp1, win2000sp4, quadro980xgl
I have an assembly consisting of a routine part model, and another part file that consists of a sketch made over an image. I used an assembly file so that I could orient and scale the "sketch" part file relative to the model.
When I make a fresh drawing (File -> Make new dwg from assembly) of this assembly in sw2004, none of the sketch entities are visible in the drawing view. If I insert model items (curves) the sketch appears for a fraction of a second, and then vanishes. If I do the same process with a drawing template made in sw2003, the sketch is immediately visible, without the insert model items process.
Another issue, though, with the drawing made with the 2003 template, is that a few entities disappear when zoomed out to see the whole 8.5x11 sheet, and the missing entities are also missing on a printout. If I zoom in closer on the view, the entities reappear on both the display and printout.
I'm using the nvidia driver 5216 now, but had the same behavior with 4104.
I made similar model/asm/drw files in sw2003 and everything worked OK.
anyone else seen bugs? like this.
thanks Bill
