Currently, our Engineering Department in Holliston, Massachusetts is seeking a CAD Operator/Technical Writer. This position performs non- routine and complex drafting and writing assignments using appropriate software to create the drawings and technical documentation. This position will also work to closely support project managers, engineering and sales/marketing to make recommended change, analyzing the effect of each change on the details of form, function and positional relationship of components and parts.
Responsibilities will include: =95 Creating layout, detail and assembly models and drawings from sketches, models verbal and written instructions =95 Maintaining and creating technical documents, manuals and logs =95 Modifying existing drawings, documents and manuals as required =95 Maintaining time and daily work records =95 Gathering and processing information required to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner =95 Utilizing knowledge to continuously improve quality and process =95 Providing support to Engineering, Marketing and Sales departments as required =95 Providing the internal and external customers with necessary requested information =95 Interfacing between engineering and other departments to resolve issues regarding product documentation =95 Working well independently and in a team environment, evaluating progress and results
Requirements: =95 Associate=92s degree or equivalent preferred =95 6-8 years of related experience including 1-2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication =95 Knowledge of computers, 3D CAD and SolidWorks preferred =95 Proven track record of accuracy, meeting deadlines, and high energy in completing activities =95 Must work well with others in a team environment
