Re: Qualcomm and ISO certification

I'm sorry I lied again. It's what I do best. I just found this quote

> on e-Mastercam and now I know that Mastercam can't even drill holes > right. > > "Cimatron deals with this situation very well. You can create one > drill cycle that will drill on any z level and you can individually > change the depths of the drilled hole on the fly or go back and edit > the depth when you are done. You can even create one spot drill cycle > to spot drill 100's of holes on several different z levels and set the > depths of each spot individually and all of this without having to > create extra points at different depths to regulate your drill depths. > Its a feature that I miss badly." > > I guess Jon Banquer was right again: > >

The > reason I like it is that the button pushing morons I hire think I'm > doing lots of programming and they believe every world I tell them > about how much work it takes to create the programs they run. I once > had someone I hired question me on this very issue but I fired him > because I don't like to be challenged and made to look like the fool > that secretly I know that I am.

What are you even blabbering about? Sounds like "Misquote Jon" is out in full force while pair up with "Alias Jon". Is "Sodomy Jon" coming out next?

When did I ever say Cimatron couldn't drill holes? I couldn't care less how Cimatron drills holes.

I'm simply pointing out that you were 100% wrong, again:

"None of our 5 seats have solids. I fail to see why we should have to pay thousands of dollars to get solids just to drill holes properly. This makes no sense. In addition, I've read where Feature Based Drilling in Mastercam has lots of issues." - Jon Clueless Banquer

My response to Jon's uninformed drivel:

"What a surprise, Jon has no idea how Mastercam works. YOU DON'T NEED THE SOLIDS PACKAGE TO USE FBM DRILL YOU FUCKING CLUELESS FRAUD." - Me

Remember that one Jon? It wasn't very long ago. You sure are good at showing everybody how little you know about *anything*. You *read* about FBD having issues, and then repeated them as if you really had any f****ng idea what you were talking about.

IOW he never even tried to drill holes before blabbering & getting it all wrong yet again.

Sort of like he's never even used any of the programs he blabbers on about, right? Not even to try to drill a few simple holes.

Now, about his broom ....

Just realize ISO does not mean quality. It means you have documented your process. You can make ISO junk as well as ISO good stuff. As long as you document the process well, both will be ISO certified.

You're right that ISO cert does not mean quality. However it is more than just documentation. Your processes have to be "capable" of producing quality product(s) before you can achieve certification. There is no guarantee whether you actually do produce quality stuff or not. Art

Actually, all they care about is if you can pay the initial fees and for the quarterly audits. The processes have NOTHING to do with quality, only that you do it only by the written procedure. I've been through the process, and it didn't impress me. Microdyne hired a ISO

9001 consultant how was dumber that a rock. He didn't bother to see how things were being done. He expected the company to adapt to his standard plan. It caused a lot of problems. No one was allowed to keep notes on anything. No markings were allowed on schematics. Test procedures were almost impossible to change because "It makes the company look bad!". Underwriter's Labs sent out a different team every quarter. They disrupted the production floor for a week, trying to cause people to slip up. I told my bosses that if one of the idiots wanted to audit me, I was going to shove the test procedure into his hands and demand that he show me how to do my job and that if he couldn't he wasn't qualified to audit me. They were pissed, but I was never audited.
