My Autocad files created by Solidworks never open up centred. And always half and half, in other words half outside of the editing window.
Anyone else?
Any solution?
All input appreciated
thanks

Not clear on what you're suggesting. Do you mean Make a macro in the Autocad environment? (the lisp reference leads me to think so)
Is that the way to produce a centred DWG from Solidworks?
I produce about 50 - 100 drawings per month and it would be nice that when my customer opens them they're centred. Doing it manually, before delivery, for a large batch is impractical.

Ok. I thought I had something messed up with my system
Not a big problem. I use them for one client who cannot open native Solidworks and has a need to edit which rules out PDF.
Thanks

Yes create a macro. You are correct it would only do something if you edit the files. I would say inform your customer of the software related problem send him the macro and have him add it to his AutoCAD briefcase. Then anytime he opens up a drawing the code will run and zoom the extents of the drawing. If he doesn't want it to always do this he can take it out of his brief case and unload it from SW

Or write a batch that would open all the drawings up Zoom Extents and Save.
