sp2 question: edrawings not working here

Nov 22, 2006 4 Replies

A fresh install of sp0.0 - then upgrade to 2.0 has left me unable to publish or open edrawings. The viewer itself will open, but crashes when opening an edrawing. When publishing the viewer appears momentarily then disappears in a few seconds. I've re-installed, removed reg entries etc to no avail - I'm just curious if I'm the only one?

Thanks,

Zander

The real problem is...you don't have SP 2.1.

OK, OK, no rottne tomatoes, please?

Hi Zander,

although I am not (yet) on SW2007 I remember there was such an issue in former versions. As far as I remember the fix was to open the edrawing software, start solidworks then and publish an edrawing within sw. After having done this once, some dlls, pointers, switches or whatever should from now on remember its function again ;-))

Sounds weired and is, but have a try.

Hi Zander

I hade the same issue, open the viewer from the desktop not SW. under tools, options set tick box to use software open GL.

will be slow but should work. I have the latest drivers (fx 3450) but will not work with open GL enabled :((((
