VB6 and XP performance settings

Oct 01, 2005 4 Replies

Any problems when using VB6 with XP's performance settings? I have a .dll for SolidWorks that is not working ok if this settings is not on:

"My Computer - Properties - Advanced - Performance Settings" and select "Adjust for best performance".

Frame caption is too big, funny colored and truncated, OptionButtons are totally black including text area

Enviroment: VB6 sp6 XP sp2 SW05 sp4

Windows 2000 with the shows everything just fine

The MS Frame control doesn't support the use of a manifest file on WindowsXp

Thanks for the info, it looks like I should finally move to .Net

No need to move to .Net You can use the Innovasys FramePlus Control (FraPlus1.ocx) It's free of charge.
