I remember that kit well, had it in O scale when I had Lionel trains as a kid.

I've written to Bachmann to see if they could be of any assistance. I thought they might be able to tell me when it was last released, or maybe even if they might just have a few sitting around in a back corner somewhere. You never know, so it never hurts to ask.

WARNING! WAY OFF TOPIC! In the "never hurts to ask" department... back in

1976, Eastman Kodak, as part of their Bicentennial Celebration, released a book called something like "Photographing America." I wanted one, but simply couldn't afford it at the time, being unemployed. Well, several years later, perhaps in the early 1980's, my interest was rekindled so I went looking for a copy. I called the publishing wing of Kodak and spoke to a gentleman who offered little hope, but took my phone number anyway. Imagine my surprise when I got a phone call a few days later. They had found about a dozen of them stuck in the corner of a little used closet! Even better, he sent me one w/o charge because they gave the rest of them to several new employees. Since it made the employees very happy, he didn't feel it was necessary to charge me for mine. So... it never hurts to ask!
