The Walther's website description states that these cars could be seen throughout the USA. I was wondering what roadnames could be seen pulling a handful of these cars pooled within a larger consist if seen on the west coast or seen in the southwest.
Could they be attached to a UP PFE train and/or a Santa Fe refrigerator train?

They are head end cars on passenger trains.

These cars showed up often as head end cars on ATSF passenger trains. You want to pay attention to the era you are modeling as to which color combination you get.
Possibly on GN "Fast Mail" or "Western Star" to Seattle.
