UNION PACIFIC 3985.....

What is wrong with you guys? All you guys have been doing is bickering, and 3985 is currently making its way across the midwest. I have not seen ONE report of 3985... where it was, etc.... I will see it tomorrow (1/15) and chase it downtown to St. Louis. I'll be going through a few rolls of film... So i will probably have a few photos online eventually.

if you guys would like to have some photos, you can e-mail me at snipped-for-privacy@mad.scientist.com and i could send you some proofs, and i was thinking if people liked my photos i might sell them a small fee.. perhaps $1 or $2 per photo.. depending on the size.

Dad has a LARGE photo quality printer at work.. i KNOW i'll be getting a blown up photo of the best photos that i have taken.

Do you have a license? McMillan can't do calendars without a license, and that involves profit. You might get visited by the UP lawsuit fairy...er...monster. Or not. Jay CNS&M North Shore Line - "First and fastest"

I will be in Jefferson City, Mo today with the train. Buddy of mine works for the local TV station and is supposed to interview the crew. I should be able to get some good shots. I will post on my website when I get back.

Be sure to come see the 3985. UP maintains this locomotive for the enjoyment of railfans. Just be sure you stay in the appropriate areas for your safety, Jerry

Oh yea, a real rail enthusiast. Sure glad you are in AU. If you were here you would be one of the taggers of the UP I am sure. Jerry

I thought statistics proved railfans were all theives? So UP better bolt down the old steamer no?

Oh yes, a real train lover here. Guess you don't like because it's not one of your highly detailed accurate toys you play with but the REAL THING. Jerry

The fellow that runs the LHS says she's to be in Houston for the Super Bowl. Will be parked next to Almeda Road @ Holly Hall IIRC.

It's a trap. Remember the Twilight Zone "To Serve Man" episode?

Fer those who dont know,

3985 was 6 hours behind schedule, and it did not arrive in kirkwood until around 930. it was featured on the news, but not much. of course, the news gave all the wrong information regarding where it would be on display..

i got photos of it in kirkwood, and at its' display location today.

i will be getting more photos sunday, as well as footage.

I wouldn't bother wasting the paint...

No, it's just another overweight, over-complicated, underperforming US steam engine only a 3-rail toy lover would be impressed by...

I wouldn't expect a Aussie jerkoff to like it. We Americans are not concerned with what you arse holes like or don't like Jerry

Certainly, and I have a fine toy of it that weighs about 15 pounds. Now on the other hand. You have nothing but light weight toys of Aussie crap. Mine are better and bigger, like most things Jerry

Wasn't the 3985 delayed because of a stopped freight in front of it Jerry

okay... for those of you who are PAST the st. louis destination (on the route), i would suggest chaging your schedule.

I received a email from the club prez (wfprr.com) and UP 3985 developed problems either last night, or this morning. the crew found a "blister" in the crown sheet. Here's the e-mail i received.
