I need a carbon brush for the dynamo on my Marvil Maxtor unit. Anyone any ideas where I can get an odd brush? I have one, so could file up one to the existing pattern.

Kim I have a box full. What sort of size are you looking for? I see from DWE's excellent new Wolseley book that they marketed a small two head shearing set with a Marvil.

If Roly can't help, there is a catalogue at the factory of commercial brushes, and Vince Martin at our injection suppliers in Luton has a commercial catalogue with popular sizes in.
I'll be looking out for some for the S-O-M alternator DC side, they are getting low.
