If simply under-running dynamo, actual power available will be less than a quarter of the rated output. Not sure I would be comfortable with belt pull being taken so far from bearing either (being a marine engine, it is intended for direct coupling to propshaft) I guess an outrigger could be added.

Nice little engines though.

Not sure I'm comfortable with that shade of blue... engines should be covered in rust, oil and collected muck or a nice dark blue, green or red. With nicely polished brass and copperware.

I am going to have to pass a few on myself over the next few days, not fallen out with my partner though! Economic reality is starting to bite with the prospect of a boiler repair bill looming.

Isnt it easy to say what engines you are going to sell last, but difficult to pick the first one to go out of the door !

I am looking to thin down to have a varied collection now, so some of the more similar engines will be on the move. Bringing home a large Ruston 2XHR the other week didn?t help the space factor either?.

The really frightening thing is that it might be original.

Only if it was designed for Barbie or Lady Penelope! (or is the lurid pink a trick of the light) :))
