I know this must be a little O/T but I went to the Motor Show in London last Thursday. Oxford Brookes University have a stand where they're promoting their course in motor sport engineering. I had a look at the car they had built as part of the course. I asked a few questions that were beyond the course administrator so an elederly gentleman was asked to talk to me. The rest of the conversation is a bit of a blur as he was the ex chief designer for Cosworth. His enthusiasm for engines was incredible and matched only by his knowledge and expertise. It was almost like talking to God. I hung on by my fingernails to understand what he was saying even though he was only talking in very general terms. As an experience, that conversation will be difficult to beat. Unfortunately, it was over all too soon.
