We used to have a lot of this stuff at home from when my stepfather worked on vacuum pumps at Mullards. In those days it was a curiosity.

When I was at school (admittedly over 25 years ago now) we had a dish of mercury in the darkroom (to 'solarise' prints I think). This was often spilt and much entertainment had by flicking the droplets about on the bench. How did we all survive?
It looks like I can't give the stuff away. I have tried a couple of recyclers but they want to charge me to take it away. Don't like that idea. It looks like I will end up keeping it except for the small amounts that a couple of you want. If anyone wants some, I have about 8kg that's free to a good home.
