Shipping and Transport disasters

I originally came across this site through a posting on the waterways newsgroup, but the site below is much more than that as they are lawyers and insurers, and the information and photograph sources shown are kept anonymous.

I was actually looking at the engine room of the 'Tricolor', the car carrier that sank in the Channel a couple of years ago, but a few hours later I have been all over the world looking at marine, air and land transport accidents and incidents which are fascinating, albeit that there has been loss of life in many of the incidents.

I found the site to be a bit circular, ie I kept returning to the same spot, but once you have mastered the navigation, look for the Tricolor info (it also has its own website, look on Google) and the sections of ship as they were recovered, showing the main propulsion engines and the cars all lying crushed in the car decks.

Fascinating stuff, shame that it has to be at someone elses expense or loss of life.
