Technical content of all is exactly the same. Some claim that the quality of the pictures in the BYB are better, but I can't really see it. I think the draw is the same as with all books; some folks just like to own first editions and are willing to pay a premium for them.

I have a BYB and a BRB. I've never actually held any of the others in my hands. I got the BRB new from Stemgas the year it was published and I got the BYB a year or two ago when it was badly listed on eBay and I sniped it for $50 or $60. 8-))

There is no difference other than the cover. Wendel now sells a new printing of the same book directly for $50 postpaid.

That is only in the USA, postage to the UK is a lot more, which is why we tried to organise a bulk buying earlier last year. I think it is an extra $20 or so for a single book to the UK.

Sounds about right, I did 'talk' with Chuck Wendel about getting 10 books over and getting them sent by M-Bag. That is a flat-rate mail bag which you can fill up with almost anything that is printed matter, and we have had some large shipments of books across the pond this way at quite a saving over the normal methods.

We weren't looking to make any money, but had to cover the up-front costs of $500 plus postage. I think we had 3 folk interested.

I don't think there was a page as such, Martin, I think it was a direct email address.

I'll have a look in my emails for last July, for that was when I corresponded with Chuck Wendel about shipping a batch over.

There was an advert on Smokestak but that has now gone, so I'll need to find Chuck's details for you.
