I have made my desicion on what I shall attempt. After browsing the libraries small and frankly inadequate collection of books on the subject I found a book of track layouts. The book is titled "Simple Model Railway Layouts" and is authoured by T.J.Booth. Been doing the rounds since 1987 by the look of the library stamps. I found a layout for a narrow gauge chalk quarry which I plan to try my hand at. I also have a little loco in mind to run on the track but I can't seem to remember the name of it and I can't find a picture of it. I do know it starred on a T.V programme concerning restoration. It was an armoured train that was used to haul ammo and supplies to the front lines in France but after the war was often bought by industrial sites to haul wagons. I know the programme was hosted by Suggs and had three other people in it. I also can't remember the name of the show. If you can help me with either of these topics it would be gratefully appreicated.

Many Thanks

Sounds like your talking about "The Salvage Squad". I think it was on either Discovery or Home & Leisure. Probably both actually and the series repeats fairly regularly from what I've seen. Hope it's some help.

has some photos and drawings.

A number of them are preserved.
