I have a Dapol class 66 in N that needs to be fitted with a dcc chip. I have been advised that this is a costly process on this loco an that the lights are best changed to led's. As I only run my layout in the daylight hours, the day/night running feature of the lighting is not an important feature. Any advice or wiring diagrams would be appreciated. I have worked on farish stuff so am ou fait with decoder installation. Just this little bugger needs sorting!!

Maybe you should have purchased the Bachmann/Farish version which I'm told chips much more easily.
John.
:-) Thought someone may suggest this :-)
I like the better detail of the Dapol so this was my sway to the model, surely cant be to hard to work out. Ken 'wotsisname' said he has done a dozen or so for cutomers but the cost is as much as the loco itself in labour alone, plus chip and other materials. But that is for seting up as designed with night/day light etc. Just 'day' light will suffice for me.
