Can anyone tell me if the container is glued onto the Hornby conflat wagon (e.g. R6346)? If it is glued on, is it easy to remove without damaging the wagon? I would like to be able to run the wagon with and without the container.

They are not glued.
Note also that Bachmann have produced far nicer models of the Conflat, although they are not currently in production.
