Hello group, I have just purchased the above engine for £40.00 without box. The engine is in superb condition and about 25 years old Question, did I pay to much, or as I hope about the right price, thanks for your interest.

I've been tracking a few of these on eBay recently. That price seems excessive, and it's certainly more than I'd pay.
But . . . .
Any item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you were happy shelling out 40 quid, then it's worth it to *you*.

Crikey £40, the significantly better Heljan one isn't too much more! £40 for an ancient one, or at Hattons £63 for a brand new Heljan one.... Hmm I know what I'd go for.
Main thing is that you're happy wih your hymek, if so, good on yer!
