I too share a fondness for complex trackwork - that's why I have bought so many points, slips and X overs! One day I hope to use the buggers!

What is a "X over"? If it is an abbreviation for "crossover", you should know that that is a combination of two points to allow trains to cross from one track to another, unless it is a scissors crossover which is a combination of four points and one diamond crossing to allow said crossing over in both directions.
