I find that far more irksome than where people post. Sometimes it can get to ridiculous lengths.

Especially when you find a dozen copies of the yahoo advertising crap simply because the footer flag gets ignored by yahoo!
At least if it's top posted, you don't have to plough through the whole thing. Some make the same argument for usenet, but bottom posting with judicious snipping is much preferred.
