I have decided to resurrect the Hornby 3 1/2" gauge model of Stephensons Rocket which I've owned since childhood. Unsurprisingly, the gas cylinder valve is leaking, and I have no confidence any of the other O-rings and seals will be serviceable. The flexible plastic gas pipe between loco and tender has also hardened somewhat. Is there a particular specialist in these models who can supply parts? Alternatively, is there a listing of parts giving dimensions of O-rings and seals, simply to save myself the effort of measuring and calculating the original size of each one? Cheers, Bill.

Hi,
I got a replacement gas tank from

they are based in Chatham. They may well do other parts for the rocket. The replacement tank cost about £33 but has a valve in the top so you never need to take it off again to refill it. It comes with the correct O ring for the screw fitting in the tender floor.
