is an auction house catalogue website: lots of signs, posters, adverts etc from all periods - sometimes the relevant dates are listed.

Search Google for "enamel signs" railway.
One or two in there are well worth having - there is a WW1 example, two women looking out of a window at the heads of passing soldiers with the caption 'Women of Britain say GO!' - It would be a simple job to change the heads outside the window.

I liked the one exhorting people to bathe no more than once a week, using no more than 5 inches of water.
Lots of good stuff, but some of it pops up auction after auction!
