That does seem to make sense. On a product of this cost, you can't expect the burrs to be removed, but the design seems to have taken account of this by having them "spoon-shaped". If they are fitted the wrong way around though, that would be a problem. I can't remember off-hand what the internal arrangement of a Tortoise was, as I sold mine on eBay ages ago.
