(UK) Advert - Reminder Churnet Valley Railway Diesel Gala

Hi All, Just a reminder that this weekend will be the biggest diesel gala we have ever had at the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire. It starts tomorrow (Friday) at about 9am with the launch of Class 47 192 back into public service following a year long overhaul along with visiting class 24 D5054 from the ELR.

Saturday will notch up a gear or two with a drive a shunter in the yard starting (£5 a go) and will have the Class 104 take over 1 of the 3 passenger trains running, along with class 20 D8154, Class 73 110 and Class

33 102 the last two about to come out of service for major overhauls.

Also on display at Cheddleton will be sister to class 02 shunter "Brightside", Class 04 D2334, Class 08, Class 20 007, class 25 D7672 "Tamworth Castle", Class 33 056 (Former Burma Star - Last public appearance before going to the diesel yard in the sky!) Class 37s 009 & 211 to complete the line up.

Chris, Just returned from 2 hard days ( I missed Friday, but you must have been about as it didn't go out till after half 2 ! When I delivered! Shame we didn't meet but glad you enjoyed !!! Will scroll further down to look at the pictures. Currently I have 1331 to view ! Gulp!!!
