Where and when - No 7

This *Where and when* has a look of Manchester about it, but that's pure speculation. It shows 8F 2-8-0 No 48026 at the head of a mixed freight being banked by what appears to be a Stanier Black 5 4-6-0. The urban skyline should give plenty of clues.

No idea on date either, or year even. So let's see what the detectives amongst us can suggest.

Now this is the interesting bit - there's a superb Manchester spread in Oct

2002 & Nov 2002 Steam World by Roger Eckersley, including what looks to be a shot of the same train taken moments before. Presumably the work of either the same photographer (Eddie Bobrowski) or somebody standing right by him!

Forgot to mention - if it is the same train then it was taken on Monday April 22 1968 and the loco at the rear is Black 5 45290.
