This *Where and when* has a look of Manchester about it, but that's pure speculation. It shows 8F 2-8-0 No 48026 at the head of a mixed freight being banked by what appears to be a Stanier Black 5 4-6-0. The urban skyline should give plenty of clues.

2002 & Nov 2002 Steam World by Roger Eckersley, including what looks to be a shot of the same train taken moments before. Presumably the work of either the same photographer (Eddie Bobrowski) or somebody standing right by him!Forgot to mention - if it is the same train then it was taken on Monday April 22 1968 and the loco at the rear is Black 5 45290.
