Best flint stricker?

I went to piezo electric sparkers about 15 years ago and never went back. It is called a Lightning Bug and is sold all over the place. I still have the first one I ever bought and it still works fine.

At school we have many of teh cheap ones. The ones with the triple flints are the best.

We buy our at Cosco - I call them fire sticks for fun.

We light the wood stove and propane barbie with it all of the time. Always have two or more (sold 4 to a pack) in the cabinet.

You can buy pricey piezo lighters at the welding supply store, or get a cheapo at the dollar store. Let out the Butane, and the clicker will work for a very long time. I also use them for barbecue and campfire appliance starters.

Kitchen gas stove lighter, either piezo or battery. They last until you either lose or stand on them. I favour the battery sort, because they spark continuously - sometimes useful for lighting air-propane outdoors on a windy day.

I once had a "proper welder's" flint lighter that took oversized flint. What a damn nuisance that was ! Worked well enough, but if you wore the flint out, you couldn't buy one at the nearest newsagent.
