bobcat canvas cover

i bought a canvas cover for my bobcat from miller. ive never had one before and im wondering if its necessary to strap it down or will it remain i place at highway speeds as is? i could find out myself "the hard way" but i dont want to lose a $100 cover when its much simpler to ask those who already know. thanks,

Take a trip to your local upholstery shop and get them to put on 4 metal snaps or eyelets on your cover and fasten the male counterparts to you welders frame with either screws or pop rivets. Your cover will fly like a bird if not fastened down, and it will come off at the most inconvenient times usually about time you pull out to pass someone on the highway! Backtracking wastes a lot of time when you have a customer or contractor waiting for you!

I just got a new camo top of the line cover for my ATV. They say about five places in the directions NOT to use it at highway speeds, or they will not honor the guarantee. As suggested, a good canvas man will know how to sew one for you that WILL last. See if they use Raven Mills Sunbrella fabric. Good stuff, and not expensive. I have made commercial awnings out of it that lasted fifteen years, and that is out in the sun 24/7 for fifteen years. Get it tight so it don't flop, and put a frame if you can. Even if it is a simple one that you can disassemble with a few bolts and wing nuts. Gives it shape and tension to keep it from flopping.
