I have a chance to pick some up and remember Ernie saying this is good to have in you filler arsenal but is hard to come by.
Thanks, Steve

Monel is copper / nickel.
It has certain properties that make it useful for some things.
It is very tough and corrosion resistant.
The British used to braze race car frames with the stuff.
Actually one would usually refer to Monel as nickel-copper, nickel about 2/3 and copper 1/3. Generically, the alloying elements are listed in the order of the greater content to the lesser.
