What happened to the Thermal Arc Arcmaster 185 welder? They were selling on
Ebay a few weeks ago and then they just disappeared?
Has there been a recall?
Can anyone tell me where they are or where to buy?
Thanks

Looks like a pretty new machine.
It replaces the Prowave 185TSW, and seems to have all the features of
the previous one, with a few added features like memory presets.
I would suspect the Arcmaster is not shipping in volume yet, so you may
have to wait a few weeks for the next shipment.
I would never buy a new machine when it is first released to the market.
You should wait at least 6 months for them to hash out any bugs.
You're right of course. It's just that it's the one I want - and when it
diasppeared _ well I guess panic set in.
The only other units that do what I want draw too much current.
Thanks for the reply.
Somehow my previous post was deleted.
I didn't know that could be done.

I'm going to be peeved if these ones have CSA approval
I just bought a new tig welder but went transformer based becasue
nobody could hit the price point of the Synchrowave 180SD or sync 200
other than the Prowave185TSW (this guys predecessor)
I'm going to jet out a good string of 4 letter words if i could have
waited 3 months and gotten an inverter for the same price as my
transformer unit.
Admittedly i do think the Synchrowave200 is a great machine and is a
great welder but its a Fatso compared to the inverters. If the price
was the same i would ahve definetly gone with a 200ish amp AC/DC
inverter
But oh well just a little vent
