Have done some brazing in the past with pretty good luck. Recently I got hold of two thin pieces of brass I could not get to join.
I used my small tip, inner flame soft, I'd be almost there, then POP the metal would explode! Tried more and less heat, flame color.
Is THIN brass tricky to braze? The parts had been used in a oil application for years if that makes a diff. Speak'n of years, doesn't brass get britle over time with a lot of vibration?
Probably a simple answer. Just blew my mind at the time. Thought ya could braze about anything!
