A while back someone posted about a problem with TIG flares. As I remember the problem was solved, but I don't remember the cause. As I now seem to have the same problem what caused it?

Their LCD lens welding hood was flashing from dark to light. Cheaper LCD lenses don't always react properly to TIG arcs at low amperage.

Yup , Ernie nailed it . I'm the one that was having troubles , and that pretty much ended when I got a new helmet . A few days ago I welded on a shotgun part at very low amps [
