Welding Supervisor

Hi, I'm currently doing a welding supervisors certificate(Structural) in Australia. I have studied like I have never studied before for this upcoming exam, I am hoping somebody out there has done this exam before and could give me some tips on the types of questions that may be asked. If anyone has access to old exams I would be greatly appreciative for a read. Regards Rod

I'd love to help, Rod, but I'm in Texas. Here in Texas, we have the Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) exam. It is big too. I've never taken it, though.

Good luck! Maybe this response will bump the topic up a little for you.

Can you give me some more info about the test Rod?

Im working for an engineering company in Mount Isa, QLD and QA'ing of welds is part of my job. We have procedures for welding, and for testing, but for things that have to be certified we need to call someone in from brisbane. Was it a ntional or state acceditation? Do you have the course # or costs?

Thanks, Shaun

Hi Shaun, The course I am doing is certification to AS 2214 Structural supervisor. It has cost me about $800 so far. Still waiting for a reply as to whether I passed or not. The certification is national. When you say you are Qualifying welds, are they to AS1796 or AS2214. Do you have supervisors certification in one or both of these certificates? Rod
