after run oil?

I was reading with interest on after run oil and what to use . This is what i have doing since the late 50's (I know that makes me a old codger but oh well) :) I only use after run oil if i am putting the engine up for a long period of time in all this time i have never had a engine give me problems or fail to run after being stored.. JUst my 2c worth Everyone have a great day.

I've never used after run oil, and never had any problems. The only engine I've ever had trouble with was a Como .51 that I left in the car trunk once during a hot, humid summer. The bearings rusted overnight.

Probably from internal condensation during the evenings.
