New 3M77 and Zagi

You've gotta do it, if you don't want your covering falling off.

Ultracote makes a much nicer covering than tape, and I strongly reccomend it. BUT you still need the 3M77 glue to make it stick well

Don't do it! The new Zagi 400X is like the old Zagi 400 with only EPP at the leading edge and EPS behind, the acetone in the new formula 3M

Look into art-supply stores for the old black can. I found some in a STAPLES last month! It was only the 7 oz can, but hey!

Not true. I have NEVER used any of the 3M77 on my Zagi. Just some yellow Ultra-Cote. I sealed the edges just like "normal" and have never had a problem. In fact mine is the Zagi that had the only "kill" during the 2002 SEFF Zagi combat and flew in both heats at this year's SEFF. Still going strong. Don't bury the thing in strtapping tape, just a cross hatch in the logical places and directions and cover it. Don't be too cool with the iron and gun. The stuff isn't that touchy.

Check the shelves of Walmart or Kmart. I got 2 cans of the old formula at Walmart several months ago.... there were over 3 dozen cans on the shelf at that time. So take a quick look.
