They have a high proportion of rich people as well as highly educated but they have yet to learn about producing high quality/professional work. This isn't an outright criticism but we've had work done by them before and it's very marginal in quality.

I was in Taiwan a while ago and amazed at how technologically clever they were and their ability to produce exceptional products in rather poor conditions.
If I went back there again, I'd definitely be hunting up some various electronic and R/C goods.
I have been in contact with some of the companies there. I think they will match China's current level in 3-5 years.
Agreed, IMO even earlier. They are very keen and focussed...
