Plane for live video FPV RC?

Many recommend the Multiplex Easystar for FPV (First Person View) R/C systems. It looks capable but the standard equipment is a brushed motor, speed control, and NimH battery pack. So, it ought to be even more capable converted to LiPo, and a brushless motor & speed control. But, I'd prefer not to spend that much on a ready to fly plane when I need to do so many modifications from the start.

Any recommendations for a plane with enough power to spare for a camera and transmitter setup? I guess I could always buy the multiplex fuse and wings then a motor, ESC, and liPo pack separate, but thought there might be something better. I would like to find something that would work with the

3S 1800-2500mah packs I use on my heli's as I already have a few of them.

Thanks!

I'd have to look it up or weigh it but I think it's around 4 - 8 oz depending on the camera, pan & tilt, etc. So far on the system I have the connectors are most out of place, they use full size RCA connectors but some of the tiny connectors would seem more suitable, my RCA coupler probably weighs half as much as the camera. On the multiplex, you can probably save enough weight switching from nimh battery to lipo to make up the weight of the video system.

Estimated weight guessing Camera ~ 2oz, Tx ~ 1oz, wiring & connectors ~ 1oz

How about a mini telemaster?

Thanks, that sounds great so far. Takes the size of batteries I already have!
