As silly as this may sound, is there a limit on how big an RC plane can bebefore someone official (like FAA) gets a bug in their butt? Wifey and I arejust getting into the whole RC thing, and as I was watching the History channel(subject UAV's) the thought occurred to me. There certainly is. In the UK I believe the limit is based on weight andanything over 20kg requires approval/certification from the CAA. I expectthe limit in the US is probably similar, but someone else can no doubtadvise.Tim

What you quote is if you want the AMA to provide insurance coverage. The is no limitation if you accept the responsibility. Don't confuse the AMA as a law maker. It is a rule maker for its members only.

Theres a lower limit of 7KG too, 7kg to 20KG have more stringent rules but don't need CAA certification / approval though
