Wax paper

Does it seem that the wax paper we use today doesn't seem to work as well as that we stole from Mom's kitchen when we were building dime Comet models?

I've found one that does a lot better than the popular Cut-Rite can get now. American Value brand (made in the USA) available in Dollar General stores.

Handles CA as well as alphetic resins. Maybe even Amberoid if you are still using it.

Am still using it.(ambriod that is)

The last wax paper I got was from a dollar store but not the brand you mention. I find myself replacing it often during a build. mk

I have been useing the -WAXTEX - brand. Does not seem as 'waxy' as when I was younger. Label says "for your microwave". Maby less wax for for less mess in a microwave? Will try the -American Value - Brand if available around here. Thanks.

Use the leftover backing from Monokote....works a lot better than wax paper and its reusable.

Red, I'm still using Cut-Rite and it seems to be the same. Then again my memory is not what it used to be. Occasionally I forget my lady's name with disastrous consequences.

Good tip Red. The Cut-Rite stuff doesn't stand up to CA!
