The thing that REALLY threw me off (until seeing #2 do the same thing), is
the LED would light up nice and bright at full throttle when operating in
the "normal" mode, just like it's supposed to, the transmitter was still set
at the default 100%, so I thought "hey, it's seeing full throttle all right,
the Phoenix 10 works, must be something wrong"............. Damn smart alec
dad burned new fangled gadgets no how.....................
Neither did starting my $4.95 Thor engine. I paid more for 70 weight oil
and gas than I did for it.

Getting older but hardly keeping up in the wiser department.
Can I do that with mine? I have a Phoenix 25 and the Phoenix link. I have
updated my ESC with the latest software but I don't see how to do this. I
can set the voltage or set a coustom voltage but I don't see an auto mode.
I watched James program this feature. After he upgraded the esc there were
drop down menus fodr each of the settings that I recognized from manual
programing. I think that "auto lith", or whetever it was called was at one
end or the other of the menu.
This might make a good post on it's own. I do not own the link to the
computer. I'm sure someonw knows more.

Download the latest Phoenix-Link software from the CC site, Version 1.12 I
think. The Auto-Lipo setting is in there....

Subject: Re: update
1. 'motor on when xmtr off' problem reappeared day of maiden flight with
the new 25..
2. Sameo, sameo - have to turn EPA up for program sequence to start.
Also noticed RC Groups has threads reporting the same thing! Sent CC an
email advising them, just in case they weren't aware, and still waiting for
an answer..
3. Motor quit twice during maiden flights of a 15oz. bird, barely hafl
throttle, maybe 2 or 3 amp, just getting things trimmed out, after 3 or 4
minutes on two fresh 3S 1500mah battery packs, with a new AXI 2212/26 motor
turning a 11x4.7 prop on first flight, and 10x7 on second. 1st time it
acted like just motor power, maybe cutoff hit (set @9), and after walking 50
yards out in the hay field, the motor/servos did have power. 2nd time, with
fresh battery, 3-4 minutes and down again - this time everything totally
dead, battery measured 11.5V while still plugged in, unplug battery,
reconnect, and everything springs to life. Receiver is an Electron 6 that's
worked perfect in two other airplanes (plus the no program & motor on
problem also did their number on two other receivers).... Both batteries
worked fine in another model the same day, without any charging. These are
Kokam ~9 mo old, and I think just before they came out with a higher
discharge rate - they want to go to their knees @6 amps, which is mediocre
considering this motor can handle 12, but have no problem with my other
models in the 4-5a range.. In fact with the two paralleled they do a pretty
good job in a 35oz Pigi, never hitting cutoff pushing a PJS-1000. Cutoff
could explain the first motor outage, but not the second. In the very near
future I see a TP-2100 3S for this airplane, only one oz more than the
Kokam's....
4. Brought airplane home, CUT open the glued fuse where ESC & receiver
are (may have to change this aspect of the E-foamie Revolution design :) and
all connections were tight and secure. Front of fuse is open for good
ventalation to the ESC & battery BTW..
5. Sent email to first party vendor to check about returning for credit
on a different brand ESC. IF I glue the fuse back together, there will NOT
be a CC ESC in it!
Obviously there's many satisfied CC customers are out there, but I'm done
spinning my wheels on this one - ain't no way I'd trust this thing again..
Just put this out for general triva information - take it, leave it, add to
it... d:->))
