Has anyone been able to run Autocad from a U3 drive?

Just asking... I've got a 2GB U3 drive coming in the mail and was wondering how you set it up and install? Isn't Autocad tightly wound into the registry so how can you install and run it independently of the Windows registry? Actually, how do any programs work with the U3 platform if the have to access to registry?
